For our December program, YuMei led members in two workshops focusing on holiday arrangements. Following Sogetsu guidelines members created free style arrangements using palm leaf, bamboo, holly, heather, and red carnations. Members had the opportunity to purchase new containers made by member Jeff Yoshida.
The November Program was held at the home of member Mrs. N. Parvathaneni, wife of Counsul General P. Harish of India. Members enjoyed classical Indian dance by their very talented daughter. Everyone was encouraged to wear Indian dress and/or jewelry. What a great time we had. Thank you Mrs. Parvathaneni.
Visiting teacher, Phyllis Danielson presented a demonstration at the Museum of Fine Arts.
In March, the club sponsored Phyllis Danielson, an Ohara Ikebana teacher, to lead us in two workshops.
